hello!
We are The Argies

The Argies isn't just a professional venture; it's a way of life. It's born from deep within, a genuine desire to bring a touch of freshness, empathy, passion, and resilience to the world.

We want these values to shine through in every encounter we create. We hope that everyone who chooses us leaves with memories etched for a lifetime—not just from the experience itself, but from the genuine human connection we provide.

In a world where everything's fast-paced and disposable, building relationships is an act of defiance. That's our ethos: let's enjoy this journey together, share our time, and, most importantly, have a blast along the way :)

Gracias,

meet the team

Hola :) Soy Giuli. I was born in the suburbs of BA to a family of Italian and Lebanese immigrants. Growing up, pasta was a staple, but so were dishes like kebbeh, fatayer and of course, asado. Music in our household knew no boundaries—it was a mix of tarantella and Arabic tunes alike.

Even though I'm a professional translator, my interests go beyond words. I've delved into the worlds of gastronomy, wine, and literature. Traveling to countless countries, meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and sampling new flavors have been privileges of mine. I've listened, observed, and asked questions, sometimes losing myself only to rediscover who I am.

The Argies embodies all these experiences that have shaped my life and identity. Within the team, I craft experiences for travelers, promote our country's wine, and indulge in the joy of doing what I love. I cannot wait to share my passion for my homeland with you :)

Hi! I'm Ceci. I was born in Avellaneda, just one bridge away from the City of Buenos Aires. My family, a mix of Italian and Spanish stories, flavours and personalities, taught me to love football, books and beer. There's nothing better than getting together to have an asado, drink something, yell at each other, just like any other family in Buenos Aires.

I am a translator but mostly because of my love for words. Apart from creating with The Argies, I work at a book store, surrounded by my favourite Latin-American female authors. The Argies represent an opportunity to spread Argie literature and culture.
I love my country and I would love everyone to see it through my eyes too.

I'm Mavi. I was born in Buenos Aires in 1987. My grandmother was Italian, and from her, I inherited a love for cooking, a taste for hosting, and a curiosity for languages.

I studied Hospitality and Social Communication, I'm a sommelier, and I love talking about gastronomy. I'm also a writer and have published poetry books such as "What I Did with Your Toothbrush When You Left Me and Other Love Poems" (2019 Halley Ediciones) and the novel "The Thieves" (2023, Qeja Ediciones).
